Sandra Ferens – Sandra is a director, a Jessie-nominated stage actor and playwright, and has played major roles in many of the television series shot in Vancouver, including, most recently, The Arrangement, The Killing, Fringe, Red Widow and Witches of East End.  Her primary passion is teaching and she has been on faculty at the University of British Columbia and Capilano University and currently instructs at the Vancouver Film School.  She is a co-founder of the Human Theatre Collective and Artists with Day Jobs and continues to develop and teach “Moving Through Text” ©, a physical approach to text work.

CAEZR - Victoria Lyons HeadshotVictoria Lyons – Victoria graduated from SFU’s Contemporary Arts Theatre Program in 2009.  She is very curious about the need for storytelling throughout history and currently within our society while maintaining presence, truth, and honesty. These values within the craft of performance led her to become a co-founder of the Human Theatre Collective and Artists with Day Jobs.   Recent projects include:  Judith Fair Festival’s Mirror Project (2016) and Performentation at the Interplay Project (2016), Artist’s with Day Jobs CAEZR: 33Cuts (2014), Elysse Cheadle’s Hoof (2013 & 2016), United Player’s We are Three Sisters (2013).  Other working partners included Yasser Ismail, Genus Theatre, Resounding Scream Theatre, The Newbees, Theatre SKAM, Upintheair Theatre and Nightswimming Theatre in the City of Wine Festival.


 CAEZR - Nick Preston HeadshotNick Preston – Nick is a Vancouver-based actor, musician and writer. Since graduating from the University of British Columbia’s BFA Acting program, he has worked in straight and musical theatre, touring BC, Alberta and Ontario for large parts of the last two years. Recent credits include Hamelin (Axis Theatre), The Birth of the CPR (CMTC), two seasons at the Theatre Royal in Barkerville, Crazy For You (Gateway) and The Lion in Winter (UP).  He is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and impassioned to make politically relevant theatre in the future. Nick was a recipient of the 2015 Ovation award for Outstanding Newcomer.


Melissa Oei - headshotMelissa Oei – Melissa is an accomplished theatre artist from Vancouver who has performed on stages across the Canada. She is a graduate of the prestigious conservatory acting program at Studio 58 and the Film Arts Program at Langara College. She has trained at the Banff Centre as part of the highly competitive Robbins Academy Banff Citadel Theatre Training Program, at Canada’s National Voice Intensive in both the Foundation and the Master Class programs, and with the Arts Club Theatre’s Actors Intensive. Melissa is also an emerging director and has directed pieces for Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre and the PULL short play Festival, as well as apprenticing at the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. Melissa is a Jessie Richardson Awards nominee and the recipient of several awards including the Antony Holland Scholarship from Studio 58, the Aida Broadbent Award from Theatre Under the Stars, and the Ovation Award for Outstanding Newcomer.

Chelsea Rose Tucker – “A Cree/Metis University of Victoria alum, and graduate of The Canadian College of Performing Arts, Chelsea Rose’s most recent professional credits include: Th’owxiya (Axis Theatre), Red Patch (Hardline Productions), Weesageechak 29: Core Company (Native Earth Performing Arts), Weesageechak 28: Core Company (Native Earth Performing Arts), Shevil: The Musical (Comic Shop Productions), Broken Sex Doll (Canadian Tour, Virtual Stage), RENT (Vancouver Film School), Cannibal: The Musical (Awkward Stage Productions), RENT (Fighting Chance Productions), Footloose (CCPA), Little Women (Black Box Productions), The Wizard of Oz, and Grease (Victoria Operatic Society). What a privilege it is to journey with theatregoers for an hour or two; to transport them to a place allowing them to forget the problems that plague our world, for even a moment… or perhaps to challenge their perceptions.”

Devon Bird - headshot

Devin Bird – Devin is a sound designer and composer based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.  Sound and music has always been his passion. He has lived and breathed audio since elementary school.  Devon graduated from Nimbus School of Recording Arts – Post and Game Audio Production diploma at the top of his class.  Currently, he’s working in sound design and composition in the indie game scene in western Canada and is also fortunate to have ongoing work collaborating with R&B hall of fame artist Dutch Robinson.
